The lifting arms will retract to the release position, which is then removed but not to the locked-open position. On 1985.5 and later cars the ignition switch should be in the ACESSORY position (2) to operate the sunroof. The sunroof console is operated in the "A" direction to open, and in the "B" direction to close.

The Renault Trafic is a stylish car that has some modern features.
